Professor PENG T.K, a Tutor Designated by AACSB Accreditation Commission, Visiting SLUAF

On Jun. 1-4, Professor PENG T.K, an accreditation tutor designated by AACSB Accreditation Commission and dean of the School of Management of I-shou University, visited SLUAF, and was warmly received by professor Tang Haiyan, president of SLUAF, and professor Gu Xiaomin, vice president of SLUAF. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchange of ideas about matters related to the entry of SLUAF into the sprinting stage of AACSB accreditation. Leaders of SLUAF expressed the intention of further strictly following the requirements of AACSB accreditation, effectively conducting meticulous design in the next accreditation link, continuously perfecting various assurance systems and actively striving to pass AACSB accreditation as early as possible. Also present at the meeting were leaders of the School of Business Management, including Wang Xiaogong, Dean of the School of Business Management.

On the morning of Jun. 2, professor PENG T.K communicated with the leaders, faculty and staff of the School of Business Management, provided comprehensive tutorship for the construction of AOL system and the perfection of JSER report in AACSB accreditation, and proposed many constructive opinions. On the afternoon, professor PENG T.K shared the experience of its employer I-shou University in successfully passing AACSB accreditation with the teachers of the School of Business Management, which would be very helpful for SLUAF in passing AACSB accreditation. In the following two days, professor PENG T.K also provided detailed tutorship with regard to the mission definition of the School of Business Administration, the classification of teacher responsibilities and the satisfaction surveys among students in the accreditation.

Established in 1916, AACSB is a global standardization organization for business schools initiated by the business schools of Harvard University, Yale University, etc. Notwithstanding its great difficulties and a long period in application, AACSB accreditation currently represents the highest honor for international business schools, and also indicates the teaching quality of first-class business schools. Since 2014, the teachers of the School of Business Administration of SLUAF have involved themselves in learning AACSB-related knowledge and processes, sorted and improved its teaching assurance systems according to the standards of AACSB, and actively prepared AACSB accreditation-related documents. In 2015, it obtained the membership of AACSB; in Aug. of 2016 and Feb. of 2017, it passed the pre-accreditation and initial accreditation of AACSB. Recently, officially appointed by AACSB, professor PENG T.K, the designated tutor, dean of the School of Management of I-shou University, has begun to provide on-site tutorship for our AACSB accreditation work.
