On September 9, Chairman Rob Dixon of the Initial Accreditation Committee of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) signed an official notification, which officially approved the qualification of the School of Business Administration of Lixin as a Unit of Accreditation, which marked another key step of Lixin towards AACSB accreditation and laid essential foundation for the final AACSB International Accreditation.

To complete the application for the qualification as a Unit of Accreditation for AACSB, the School of Business Administration has spent two years in preparing EA Application Form in accordance with AACSB accreditation standards. From determining a great deal of bilingual fundamental files and data related to the mission, vision, values, logo and motto of the school, the school has further generalized the operational characteristics of the school, reclassified and interpreted the data on the teaching, scientific research and social services of the school, supplemented and improved the discovered deficiencies, collected a great deal of data to support the orientation of the school, quoted a number of practical examples to highlight the school's great achievements in terms of social responsibilities and diversification of school running, and made a great deal of supplementary work.

The qualification review of AACSB Unit of Accreditation mainly examines whether the unit is well-established, characteristic and representative in terms of schooling orientation, evaluation from stakeholders, financial relationship and internal governance system. AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee holds meetings on a yearly basis, and examines and approves the application for the qualification as unit of accreditation submitted by business colleges in different countries. This is an important step for AACSB to measure whether a business college meets the conditions for accreditation. Obtaining the qualification as AACSB Unit of Accreditation is AACSB’s initial recognition of the business colleges applying for the accreditation in terms of talent training, construction of teaching staff, teaching supporting and scientific researches and indicates that such business college has met the basic standards for AACSB accreditation.
