School Introduction

1. Overview of School of International Economics and Trade 

With Department of Economics, Department of International Trade, and Department of International Business, the School of International Economics and Trade offers three undergraduate programs, namely Economics, International Economics and Trade, and International Business. By far, the school has 84 teaching faculties and administrative staffs, including 70 full-time teachers (including 11 student counselors), 2 teaching researches, 4 teachers on tenure track and dual track (including 2 “Eastern Scholars”), and 8 managers. The school also has 4 specially-appointed professors (including 3 “Famous International Teachers” of Shanghai).

2. Faculty (Quantity, Structure and High-Level Talent Construction) 

Among the full-time teachers, there are 45 doctors, 22 masters and 3 bachelors, accounting 64%, 31% and 5% of the total population respectively. There are 7 senior teachers and 21 sub-senior teachers, accounting for 10% and 30% respectively among full-time teachers. 42 teachers hold medium-grade professional title or below, accounting for 60% in full-time teachers. There are 6 teachers above 50, 21 teachers aged from 40 to 49, 38 teachers aged from 30 to 39 and 5 teachers below 30, accounting for 9%, 30%, 54% and 7% respectively in full-time teachers. There are 23 teachers with over 1 year of experiences of study, further education, or academic visit overseas, accounting for 33%. There are 6 teachers with over 3 months of experiences of study, further education and academic visit overseas, accounting for 9%. 12 teachers hold double-professionally-title, and 7 of them have vocational certificates of Senior International Business Executive and Logistician, accounting for 10%. There are 5 teachers with full-time employment experiences in enterprises, accounting for 7%.
