School of International Exchange of SFU

School of International Exchange (SOIE) of Shanghai Finance University (SFU) was founded on October, 2009 and was known as Department of International Education. As an independent school of SFU, SOIE takes the task of international students’ recruiting, teaching and daily management. It focuses on international students’ education and has established a system with multiple choices based on students’ requirements including long term and short term trainings, degree education and non-degree education system. SOIE also offers English taught academic curriculums for degree students. SFU started to recruit international students since 1993 and till now, more than 2000 international students from about 30 countries have been studying at SOIE. Most SOIE’s facilities and staff members have overseas background and are packed with great teaching experience. SFU has set up international students’ dormitory building and International Cultural Exchange Center. With competitive living condition, comfortable environment and convenient transportation, SFU is considered as an ideal place for international students

School of Sino-Danish

 

The School of Sino-Danish is mainly in charge of the Joint Program between Shanghai Finance University and Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College which was approved by Shanghai Education Committee in 2000. 

With the rapid development of educational internationalization in China, the Joint Program is a valuable attempt for Shanghai Finance University to meet the demands from the recent education situation. It is also a pioneering step in this university to learn and use as reference the overseas educational experiences, and increase the exchange and cooperation with the higher educational institutions abroad. 

Since the autumn, 2000 when the first recruitment was made, over 2000 students have graduated from the Joint Program. With the current enrollment up to 600 students, the Joint Program has 2 majors: International Finance and International Marketing. All the graduates have been employed in the businesses in Shanghai and the provinces nearby. 

Ever since its establishment, the Joint Program has persistently served the regional economic progress and social development, holding to the education ideas of “serving the local economy and meeting the demand from Shanghai financial industry by presenting qualified education”. The Joint Program is aimed at developing professionals who are expected to be capable of problem solving, competent of multiple skills, gifted by innovativeness, and proficient in international communication. The graduates from this Joint Program are well accepted by the financial industry because of English proficiency, profound professional knowledge, and strong pioneering ability. What is more, establishment of the Joint Program makes it possible to bring the faculty of bilingual teaching into existence, improves the development of the educational internationalization, and upgrades the university’s popularity and social influence.
